On April, 9th the Governor signed my State Fairgrounds bill, and while this legislative session has held many challenges and dark days I am proud of this legislation. I am thankful to my colleagues in the Legislature and the Governor for their support. But most of all, I am excited about the new growth opportunities this will bring to Detroit. I pray the development becomes a positive symbol of Detroit’s rebirth. This project should create jobs and economic development that our City needs.
